Ein Kind sieht den Löffel. Es sieht nur: Löffel. A child sees the spoon. It sees only: spoon.
Kein „damals“, kein „morgen“, kein geistiger Knödel. No “yesterday,” no “tomorrow,” no mental noodle.
Der Himmel ist Himmel, der Stein ist nur Stein, The sky is the sky, the stone is a stone,
die Wirklichkeit stolpert ins Auge hinein. reality stumbles straight into the bone.
 
Dann wächst man. Dann denkt man. Dann denkt man: „Ich weiß.“ Then one grows. Then one thinks. Then one thinks: “I know.”

Das Kind aber: Auge. Das Auge: JETZT. But the child: eye. The eye: NOW.
Kein Archiv im Schädel. Kein „Was war das?“ No archive in the skull. No “What was that?”
Ein Löffel! Ein Mond! Ein silbernes Ding! A spoon! A moon! A silver thing!
Der Anfang schaut an, bevor Denken beginnt. The beginning looks first, before thinking begins.
 
Und dieser erste Blick — And this first look —
ohne Namen, ohne Plan, without name, without plan,
ist systemrelevant, is system-relevant,
weil alles daran begann. because everything began.
 
Dann: Erinnerung. Ergänzung. Verstand. Then: memory. Completion. Mind.

Die Welt wird geflickt mit bekanntem Gesicht — The world gets patched with a familiar face —

Schau! sagt das Kind. Look! says the child.
Schau! sagt die Welt. Look! says the world.
Schau, bevor dein Kopf sie vervollständigt. Look, before your mind completes the view.
Denn wer zuerst wirklich schaut, For whoever truly looks first,
sieht vielleicht noch etwas, may still see something,
das später keiner mehr sieht. that later nobody sees.
